SigningAppV1.exe performs a task that is generally thought to be impossible.

It’s an application that allows users to sign messages with an embedded Bitcoin private key, while keeping the key private and the funds associated with the key secure.

Future Use Cases

Free range crypto currency wallets

In order to spend money and do work outside of a secure network, software agents have to either carry unspent transaction outputs (UTXOs) or interact with networks where wallets with UTXOs reside. Either way, such agents are vulnerable to hackers who seek to take the funds. Only highly hack resistant software can stand up to this threat.

Managing sensitive data

Today, management of sensitive data involves entering passwords, often on insecure computers. In the future, people will interact with a Monolithic software agent in a pristine environment. People will describe the set of actions that they want to be carried out using their sensitive data. Then the Monolithic software agent will go out into the world, with embedded instructions and relevant data, and the agent will perform those actions on behalf of the person.

This workflow will empower:

Details

SigningAppV1.exe is a Windows application which signs any message using an embedded Bitcoin private key.

Here’s an electrum wallet containing the same private key (with .01 BTC) which will remain at this address for the duration of the challenge.
